Harvesting & Grain Handling

One equipment family, distinct purchasing briefs

These are inquiry directions, not stock offers. Exact models, documents and supplier availability are confirmed after the requirement is reviewed.

Compare what the quote actually includes

Capacity with a test basis

A t/h figure without crop, grain moisture content, field conditions and acceptable grain loss leaves the comparison open. Request the supplier's conditions and a method for checking the claim.

Local operation and maintenance

Document engine, hydraulic and electrical details, consumable references and manual language. A lower equipment price can shift work to your maintenance team when local parts access is limited.

Equipment cost through arrival

Separate machine, header, wear parts, freight, destination charges and support costs. Keep currency, quantity, trade terms and exclusions visible for every offer.

Questions before a factory RFQ

Can I request a quote without a finalized model?

Yes. Describe your crop, acreage, quantity and seasonal deadline. Mark uncertain items such as header width or engine power as open questions. A supplier should identify its proposed configuration rather than treating a general machine name as a completed specification.

Is a larger header the better purchase?

A wider header may reduce passes but can create transport, gateway and unloading constraints. A narrower header may fit access and existing logistics more easily. Compare effective field operation and receiving capacity, not width alone.

How are minimum order and delivery dates confirmed?

Request MOQ, quote validity, manufacturing lead-time assumptions, packing and dispatch milestones from each supplier. A farm's harvest date is a required delivery target, not evidence of stock or a confirmed factory schedule.

Does Harvest Link manufacture the equipment?

No. Harvest Link Sourcing is an independent sourcing partner. We organize requirements and support factory quote comparison; equipment warranties and performance obligations must be identified in the supplier's written offer.

Use the procurement checklist to keep the same scope across suppliers.
